Welcome to Dallmayr, a charming cafe nestled in the scenic Nakanoshima area of Osaka, where culinary delights meet a serene atmosphere. Known for its elegant dining experience, Dallmayr offers a unique fusion of European cafe culture and Japanese hospitality, making it a delightful stop for both locals and travelers alike.

If you're looking to indulge in a memorable lunch, the cafe serves a mouthwatering dish: the 3種のキノコのトマトデミグラスソースパスタ (Three Mushroom Tomato Demi-Glace Sauce Pasta) priced at JP¥1,430. This dish features a medley of brown mushrooms, maitake, and shimeji, harmoniously sautéed with aromatic vegetables and enveloped in a rich sauce made from ripe tomatoes and red wine. To elevate the experience, it comes with a refreshing apple marinated in izumi pickles, perfectly complementing the pasta while adding a crisp texture to every bite.

For those craving something lighter, the cafe's プレッツェルサンド (Pretzel Sandwich) is a must-try. Filled with creamy ricotta cheese, fresh lettuce, and succulent ham, this sandwich offers a delightful crunch with every bite, enhanced by pickled accents that tantalize your taste buds—all for an affordable JP¥1,200.

The cafe's menu isn't just limited to savory dishes; the warm atmosphere is further enlivened by a selection of exquisite teas and coffees. For tea aficionados, Dallmayr offers the renowned No.5 Ceylon, No.13 Darjeeling, and No.16 East Frisian (Assam) for just JP¥1,160 each. Don’t miss the delightful ルイボスキャラメル (Rooibos Caramel) during the winter months, which provides a sweet and cozy drink option perfect for warming up on a chilly day.

Dallmayr isn't only about delicious food; it's a haven for relaxation, as reflected in the many glowing reviews from patrons. Gerald Williams describes it as a "quiet and pleasant environment," making it ideal after a stroll along the nearby urban river or a visit to one of the two art museums in the vicinity. Erika praises the "great service" and delightful apple strudel, while Irene Lam appreciates the cafe's stylish interior, creating a peaceful ambiance for a light conversation or a calming break. Takashi Watanabe suggests it's a great place for a date, and his sentiments are echoed by others who appreciate the tranquil setting.

With a commitment to providing a memorable dining experience amid Osaka’s bustling atmosphere, Dallmayr is not to be missed. Whether you're in for a refreshing meal or just a warm cup of coffee, this cafe stands out as a treasure in the heart of the city. A quiet and pleasant environment. Very near two art museums and along a lovely urban river walk. Had the chicken sandwich which was filled with vegetables, so perfect for a hot afternoon.

Decent interior design and cutlery. A quiet place to relax. Only two choices of breakfast set. I’ve ordered the pancake set. The food is and latte is just average.

With only two choices for breakfast we were a bit concerned. Lovely light breakfast...we were pleasantly surprised. Scrambled eggs with potato and cheese were loose but not runny. Ham and bread were delightful and the salad was a nice touch. Pancakes and yogurt were a hit with our 10 year old. This is a very light meal so if you are looking for a hearty hefty western breakfast you should look elsewhere. I would come back in a heart beat.

As a native Austrian i can say the food was authentically German, the portion size was adjusted to Japanese standards. The service was good as well. The beer is brewed in Japan but the ingredients are important from Germany.
